I am nearly buying a 907 ie from the last series in black, and I wonder if the sidesuitcases and mounting frame of het Hepco & Becker set as fitted on the 900 SuperSport '97 could be slightly modified to fit the 907. In a short check with a really bad maintained red 907 ie last series it seemed to be working with a bit of modifications here and there.

This is what it looks like on the 900 SSC. My BMW-friend calls the bike a BMW 900 SuperSport. . . . It is damned handy on motor camping holidays I can tell you....

Here are some images to be found

The bad 907 ie in red can be found here:

An other one I did not checked out yet: http://link.marktplaats.nl/451524410

The black one? I keep that a secret for the time being to avoid someone buying it before me, you can understand I think . . .

I can't tell you anything about Hepco & Becker, but the GIVI ones, which I well know, can be swapped with some minor mod here and there.
I guess the same might be for H&B.
Ciao

I have had a Givi Topbox on my 907 since the day I bought her. We have done a lot of Km's together now mostly touring and with the box installed. Check out this thread, Go West young(???) man.. Ugly as sin on the bike without any other luggage (and I do take it off when not touring), but very very useful.

Cheers.

The thread doesn't work on "Go west young man" . . . .

Just checked it out on the Paso / 907. Only the bracket over the rear fender and licence plate has to be removed. Angles seems to be ok. Have to drill a vertical hole with a bolt and plate to fix the second mounting bracket. First one will fit underneath the exhaust bracket with footsteps for the rear passenger. . . .

My bike :smoke:

Leaving for the 2010 Snowy Ride, saying goodbye to Bella & Luca.
Melbourne [Vic] to Thredbo [ NSW, about half way between Sydney & Melb] all up about a 3000km round trip.
2 nights camping, Anglers Rest, Vic on the way and Hollings Landing, Vic on the return.

You can ride to Thredbo [A ski resort in the NSW Alps] in a day, its about 600km I guess, but I took the long way.
Starting to plan the 2011 trip :phone:

The Givi top box was mostly for wet gear, gloves and helmet, water, visor cleaner [Plexus] snacks etc. Its great to put your stuff in there when stopped. I have a smaller box and this larger box.

The dry bag across the seat had sleeping bag, tent, sleping mat, towel etc.

The Ortlieb paniers i have had since 1990. Brilliant , water proof bags. One bag had food, the other side was clothes.

Ortlieb Tank bag had camera [DSL], maps glasses etc, not much weight. I put a sheep skin in the bag and then used the velcro ividers that come in camera bags to make a "T" shaped pouch for the camera. Made it very easy to stop and take a pic.

Bike leaks a bit of oil around the base of the front cy, but apart from that it was flawless.
A few small slips on some fine graveled sealed roads [yes an OZ special] and the wind noise were the only negatives. I use an Air Hawk seat cushion to keep the bum happy, bar spacers and lowered pegs. I am 188cm, so its a much more comfortable fit.

Burnt snow gums from bushfires on the Mt Hotham [Vic] road, About 1700m

She gave the bike a look or two. Asian tourist in Lakes Entrance.

Top of the Alpine Way, just out of Thredbo [NSW]

;) ;)

The Imlay Road was the best in all the trip. I had gone from Thredbo to Bomballa [NSW] then away to the coast to Merrimbula, then Eden and up the Imlay rd, about a 250km diversion! Well worh it and I will reverse this on the 2011 ride. The road down from Bomballa to Merrimbula is also amazing, long steep fast downhill that nearly buggerd my arms. I need to do some push ups!!

looking the other way from the 2nd picture, about 5km to Hotham Heights village. This is all completely covered in snow at the moment. They call the gap 'Blowhard'. In a blizzards, sometimes you have to nearly walk in front of the car from orange pole to pole to stay on the road.

To bring this subject some new information and an update, I found a pannier set and two red side cases and bought them. They were from Krauser and include the K2 cases. So beside H&B and GIVI there is a third solution as well.... And it will hold a top box as well.
It seems the metal U-frame is a DIY piece, as Krauser never had a set to match the 906/907 models. Keys are still available for approx 18 Euro incl. shipment for 2 pcs.

The Hepco & Becker looks like this on a 907.. . . This one is for sale in Germany at this moment, including a glass front screen modification.
