unmuessig is a company that buys old Ducati stocks.

I hope you don`t really have 750cm of snow on your roof. You`ll have to dig a tunnel to get to your house

Getting this post back to real issues ie motorcycles.......................
Thanks Hans for the link:

"Hey all Why not look at this option, fairly cheap, look like original setup from Germany. 139,80 Euro /disc, front and 109,77 Euro / disc rear.

http://www.unmuessig-moto-italia.de/DUC ... .43.0.html"

I bought these discs from here in Dec and they arrived in NZ in Jan. 116 euro each +34 euro for shipping. Exact Brembo replacement part but they are stainless vs the original cast iron. has a build date od 2005 stamped on them so they are not old stock from the '80s. Fitted and used as pics below. once the pads had scrubbed the plating off they started to work real well and by the end of the day i was quite impressed with stopping power. May hold off on the caliper upgrade for a while.
Cheers

headers are stock and then a guy here created a 2-1 for me and i added the RPS carbon muffler. Sounds good and seems to perform ok too.

Clive,

Beautiful bike. The photos are inspiring.

Say, is that a Michelin Pilot sport 120/70 on the front? What tire and what size are you running in the rear?

Thanks!

Hi
the bikes still has the 16" wheels. It's a Bridgestone BT014 on the front 130/70 which is a nice sport tire and works well. The rear is a 150/80 Bridgestone BT45 which is has been mentioned here on this site in the finding a suitable 16" rear tire saga. It is a crossply which also causes some to raise eyebrows!! But i have to say despite it being classified as a sport touring tire it worked very well at the track and never missed a beat. If you have a swing arm big enough to handle the 80 profile this to me is a great option rather than all the issues of trying to get 180 on the back. I pushed it quite hard so for road use it has to be good.

Hi Clive, the wheels are the standard Oscam's? The 906 wheels are very heavy but are the 750 Super Sport wheels equally so? I have not weighed the rear wheel but I'm guessing 20kg, are those that bad too?

Just coming back on the issue,
I asked myself many times wether this stainless replacements described before, perform better as the original disks.
On my 87 750 Paso which I own for 20 Years, I replaced the original Brembo Pads with the softer Brembo pads which improved the effectivity quite a lot. But for my feeling it could still be better.
I just bougt a nice and chap 906 which I "customize" similar to my 750 (lower seat, 180/60/16 and a few other details) but the unique unsolved thing ist the front Brake. The discs are new (original) but it's just not working as on the 750. I already thought about ordering teh soft brembo Pads (found them in Germany) but if anybody can recommend me a solution which really works good (better than original disks with soft brembo pads) would be great. The four piston solution i ve' seen as well in the forum, but seems that the parts (especially teh adapter) are hard to get.
