As for me, at well past "midlife", I'm with Garnet. Ultimate cornering takes second place to riding comfort, although the Paso is a very good handling machine (as long as you don't grab some front brake mid-corner). I can ride it all day down here in the San Diego foot hills, and have fun doing it. :thumbup:

Well Sheldon, I decided to keep my toy(90 hawk gt) for now and pass on the Pasos. As for comfort, I know whatb you and garnet mean. I'm 42 now, but I still like to ride the track and semi aggressive on the street. This hawk keeps me safe. Compared to riding a repli-racer. I still love the Pasos. They're what addicted me to Ducati. I'm leaning towards the new Classic collection. The 1000 Sport catches my eye. Maybe this Spring...Unless the wife has something to say about it,hahaha

Francesco's right; the prices of bevel Duc's are getting silly here in the U.S., like American pony cars right now (are you watching Barrett-Jackson on Speed? Too many Boomers with too much $$$ and not enough brains). And for me, also, the retro bikes don't quite make it, apart from the motors.
Your GT is a good machine, and definitely a keeper, but I must tell you, there's no way I would part with my Paso. It runs good, sounds good and feels good (and is worth nothing right now anyway), so if you can ever snag one, I'm sure you'd be a happy camper.
I recently sold an '01 Aprilia Falco because, truth be told, I preferred to ride my Paso. It was a good machine, but I have just so much time to ride. The only problem is, the Paso can't handle two-up (power and clutch limitations), but then my wife won't ride with me much anymore, anyway. Those of us with 906/907s probably don't have the same problem.
