Post subject:  Steering Head Races, size of cups?

Hello again,
In my quest to fit USD forks from a SSie Ive hit a snag. I've just got a monster bottom yoke, believing it to fit straight into the 907, but its bigger, SDF! The 907 stem is 25mm, the monster 26mm. No problem if the column is the same as SS, just run SSie bearings, or trawl bearing catalogues to find the correct size, but my 907 is in regular use so I'm unable to measure the taper cup o.s. diameter, anyone know what it is please. Cheers, Keith.

that means your 907 stem is turned down from 26 to 25 to adapt a regular bearing. out side is 52 mm, which is also a standard size. 26 mm stems are a strange kind of protecting the market and are only obtainable by specialized stores.

the original Paso steering bearing is:

Steering head bearing (2x)
id* 25mm od* 47mm width 15mm
SKF 32005-X/Q or
TIMKEN 32005X-90KA1 (inner bearing: XAA32005X, outer ring: YAA32005X) or
