Shaved off 2mm from a M900 carb sprocket (thick side) & made 4,5mm spacer washer to sprocket.
Rode 85 km`s today, checked, seems fine, sprocket little loose w a bit of freeplay as 907 OEM.

Post subject: I'm not sure this is the right front sprocket for 907 Posted: Mon Jan 25, 2010 12:30 pm |

I'm not sure this is the right front sprocket. The dealer said the one in the picture is 44910071A 15 teeth. If it is right it is pushung out the teeth 20mm from the 906. I'm not sure it is right.
The front sprocket in the 906 Parts catalogue is 44910031A 15 teeth The front sprocket in the 907 Parts catalogue is 44910071A 15 teeth
so I presumed it was different.
Now I am confused. When I measure the distance at the back of the 906 forks and 907ie forks it seems the same distance, so the 907ie seems longer but not wider. In that case what would be the need of a different front sprocket?
And when I tried the one they sent me the retainer plate would also not fit either by hole alignment and it would not fit into the concave area. I rang them and they suggested I file down the plate.
Any help? I am trying to swap 906 front sprocket to 907ie since I have changed the swingarm.

Acording AFAM catalogue, all Pasos have different front sprockets no matter what is Z
907 chain line is just in middle of sprocket
AFAM numbers: 750 Paso: 52606 906 Paso: 52604 907IE: 52607
That Your 4491007A looks very similar to 750 Sport sprocket (early modell)
