Hi all, today I was going to get the 907 up and running after the spring service. All was well
except that Ihad broken one of the small connectors clean off from the front brake switch. :banghead:
Does any of you know of a replacement switch, for example from a newer Ducati model?? I am
doing a mot on wednesday so.... please, anyone :) :)

You can buy such micro switch from local electonic shop very cheaply and it only takes few minutes to weld wires and put connectorst to it... few €.....

BUT one very important thing: There is one very small plastic short (about 5mm) "pin" between micro switch and that brake lever and if You miss/loose it, then micro switch cant work at all! So, when take that micro switch away, have to be very carefull, that dont loose that plastic pin!!!!!

I never was able to find that switch. I broke one of the leads off about 5 years ago. I took the switch off and with a small razor blade knife I removed enough of the plastic around the lead to reveal enough of the metal to allow me to solder the metal tang that I broke off back onto the switch. I then put some epoxy back around it to reinforce where I wittled away the plastic.

I was so eager to mount it on the bike so I just mounted it staight on to get it working but I
will check it out and be back tomorrow. It was a straight fit with the mounting holes lining up
perfect, it had 3 connentors bu as only 2 were needed it was possible to remove one and cover
the small hole with a drop of epoxy. I am sorry but I havent got a digital camera so no
pictures I`m afraid :,( but i`ll check model and numbers etc... tomorrow. however
it works just fine and i`ve been told that all ducatis with the switch mounted with two tiny
screws all use the same switch!!
