... and which coating process is best for white wheels, like powder coating, or paint with clear urethane top coat, or something else I don't know about? Stove enamel? :?

After hitting a hole left by a lazy street crew dented my white front wheel, I picked up a silver one from a yard and had it powder-coated white by a friend whose dad has a metal finishing business. Just white - like a refrigerator or a washing machine.

It looks a perfect match and brake dust doesn't stick to it.

you can apply powder coat in color and as topcoat also a clear powder coat.
the clear topcoat is very smooth and therefore easy to clean and of course less build up of dirt of brake dust.
