Hey guys, new Paso owner here. The Paso 906 I got a few weeks ago came with Mikuni carbs. One of the carbs is missing some kind of needle/jet that goes in from the bottom of the carb(right next to the float bowl). I don't know what these carbs came off of, I do know that the bike ran ok with them before the missing piece. I need to get a new one and don't really know were to start. I believe they are BDST carbs. Is the any way of identifying he carbs? Thanks for any info, Conor |

I think so...here are some pics. This next one shows the missing needle on the left carb. |

Before you find another needle , try the needle from the other carb , just to make sure the reason there is no needle is not because the thread is stripped in the carb body ![]() |

that`s the idle mixture screw. That Mikuni is the same on all carbed 600, 750, 900 Monster & SSs, some Cagiva Elefant models, Yamaha TDM/TRX 850 etc. Pls add your location to your profile. G. |

as suggested above Conor, remove the other idle mixture screw not just to use as a thread-checker on other carb, but because it needs a closer inspection in itself.. it shouldn't be sitting with the screw head exposed like that - it's usually quite recessed down it's 'tube'. Fingers crossed that it's only adjusted wrongly, but if it's the std needle then it can hardly have engaged the first thread judging by it's appearance/positioning. |
