Hi, Who knows the required strength of the carb slide(?) spring of a 36mm dellorto. I can buy different types of 1.1 to 1.4 kg The carb slide will be directly connected to the throttle cable. Thanks in advance Joep |

I think that with 2 carbs the combined force of 2 springs is very tough ( they are known for it ) so you have the option of lighter springs for dual carbs ( on some bikes these springs are the only throttle return springs ) and , I spose if your cables are short and well routed you could save yourself some wrist action and go for the lighter springs ![]() |

I bought the lighter springs, and quickly followed with making new cables. All works wonderfully. If there is one carb, and its on a dirt bike, the stiffer spring makes more sense. But trying to hold open that stiff throttle on a street bike will pump up your forearms in a short time. Cheers, Phil |

If your into making throttle cables a good cheap way is to buy mountain bike type gear cables and modify them. The better quality ones are still way cheaper than buying cable by the metre ![]() |

This is my current setup. I have installed the 0.7 kg springs but I have also bought the 1.1 and the 1.4 kg ones. Throttle control with splitter is from a cagiva elefant. Jetting and needle will be as per F1 Thanks for your advice |
