![]() I have 36mm PHFs on mine. Years ago I did a lot of testing at idle and small throttle openings, and settled on a 60 in one carb and a 65 in the other. Can't remember which went in which carb, I'm afraid, but my bike has started and run great ever since. |

![]() viewtopic.php?f=1&t=95 ... and thinking back to the tuning and testing I did, over many hours and days with detailed record-keeping, I believe I found the correct pilot jet and throttle stop adjustments (each which affects the other) right to within 1/4 turn of the screws on each carb (each of which affects the other) and then the carbs synchronised to within 1mm of slide movement. I believe that is the sort of accuracy required for optimum performance. If you then get the right chain adjustment, and the right ignition timing (both of which I do by the seat of my pants) you can have a very responsive, smooth, and fast bike. |
