1988 750 Paso rescued from ditch. All bodywork destroyed. Forks literally torn from bike.

Features:

17" 750SS wheels with stock brakes
38mm Mikuni CV 750SS carbs
750SS oil cooler
Adjustable clipons clamped to adapters bolted to triple clamp

Didn't realize that there is enough room for a 17" front wheel and an oilcooler under the front yoke in combination with the M1R.. Nicely done. :thumbup:

Nice job! With a single larger oil cooler, I'm guessing oil capacity is greater? What kind of temps do you run when idling at stop signs, etc..?

I've never had an oil temperature gauge on the Paso, but my longtime Ducati guru experimented with gauges on his Elefant and his bevels. Our observation was that Ducatis are easy on their oil. He ended up taping over the Elefant's cooler to raise operating temps. Of course, we do live in Washington, where temps are moderate.

I put the Paso together 15 years ago and ran without a cooler for most of that. Hasn't melted down yet!

I like the short fork guards you have on there. Where did you find those? They were stock on some Kawasaki's, but I'd love to know which ones fit the M1R fork.

U think the 750 is over cooled as stock

I used to use two sponges wrapped in foil to partially block the cooler vents in the fairing to brign the temperature up into the right range for most of the year
