I've seen what I believe to be the 907ie's with what looks like a "NACA" style duct on the windscreen. Has anybody ever tried to modify the 750's windscreen to get better airflow over the rider. I am tall (6'4") and when I'm on the freeway I get quite a bit of buffering in the upper chest and helmet. I've also owned a couple of the BMW K100RS's and they also have a small airflow duct at the top of the windscreen that really helps. I'm not opposed to doing some testing but if somebody has already done some tests I'd rather start from there. Also, pics would be great. |

there existed an aftermarket part to fit to the front screen. Scroll down to about half the page: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4147 Works ok. G. |

Thanks Paso750. That's kind of a basic idea and I agree would work to a degree. I'm hoping that maybe we have some "aerodynamics" guys out there who understand airflow enough to make some more elegant suggestions. |

more elegant is not that easy if you look at this ![]() viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2163 If you`re good with glassfibre one sure could take a used 907ie front screen and one of a 750 and combine them. G. |

I have used the Laminar Lip on my ST4s with good result. I suppose you can browse their site to see if you might fit something, like from a K75 or K100 or something similar. Of course mounting modifications will be needed, but they make nice stuff and it will at least look good. (at least better that most of us can make in the garage) http://www.laminarlip.com Cheers, Phil |

![]() A few years ago, not wanting to make permanent changes to the look of my Paso, I made the screen below and used it on a long trip. It worked well. The screen is simply tied to the existing Paso screen with the lower cut outs just above the mirrors. I think I used No 8 wire onto the dash mount screws, with a rubber strip between the clear plastic and the Paso screen to give protection and grip to the Paso screen. To make the screen, I obtained a thick piece of suitable plastic sheet, had it cut to shape by a plastics shop. constructed a 3D mold covered with felt or a similar fabric (this is important - do some research) then molded it in a local Pizza shop oven. |

how steep does that screen stand ? With the original fairing rather flat and that screen so long I`d be afraid it could chop your head off in case of an accident. this is what not to do ![]() |

![]() I had it up fairly straight, G. It was possible to adjust it towards the vertical quite easily in the mounting. |

Hey everybody, Thanks for the input. I like the "Laminar Lip" idea and they're in SoCal about an hour from me so I might take the bike down there are see if any of the ones they have fit. I just hate paying $85+ for a piece of plastic. I'm also thinking about a "hybrid" design; something between the laminar lip and the 907ie. I'm good with fiberglass so I might just make a mold with clay on the bike. I'll take pics whatever I decide to do. |

Why ruin the design for a little less wind? |

so you can ride longer and enjoy the bike more, and stay drier in a rainstorm. Cheers, Phil |
