I'm running the 180 metzler ,couldn't be happier. It was the front tyre that made the biggest difference to the handling,a more rounded profile done the trick, rather than the fatter ,flatter profile. I have an Avon azaro 170 / 70 / 16 on now and its a different bike to ride, and it seems to be getting better as the tyre wears in. I use counter steering now as a choice, whereas before I had no option on the tighter corners. I realize that not everyone is allowed to have different breeds of tyre front and rear, but for those that can these tyres make a great handling, long wearing alternative, with lifting the front guard the only modification necessary.I'm even wondering if this is necessary with the lower profile more rounded Azaro ? might try dropping it back to original position soon. The 750 & 906 have the same swingarm and I had a Metz 150/80 on the rear wheel. It spreads due to the wider wheel to close to 180mm and interferes with the chain. Not a good choice, the 150/80 is for a much narrower wheel. |

I went with the 180.no mods required and handles pretty good ... At least for an old man |
