no spark at the plugs everything else is working - turning over, etc. can anyone refer me to a systematic electrical diagnostic path to trace the lack of spark problem? EDIT:I have the 2 relays added per 750 Paso wiring upgrade. No voltage at coils - Ignition switch functions - Starter switch cranks starter good - I added 12 volts directly from the battery to the coils and fires right up using starter button. While running I toggled the kill switch with no results. I don't know for sure if this is what normally happens when you run voltage directly to the coils. With voltage to coils directly from the battery I unplugged starter/kill switch assembly and ran a jumper from yellow to orange on the junction to the starter/kill switch and bike fires right up. I can feel both relays clicking each time the ignition switch is turned on. Anyways - Both orange coil wires return to the ignition module have no voltage.(Note: This doesn't seem to match the wiring upgrade's wiring - investigating further.) I switched out the ignition modules and still no results. Next I will try switching out the Regulator. Please chime in - I'm here for your thoughts and opinions as well as solutions . . . |

Well its 4:30 here in California and sun is below the horizon and temp is dropping fast so I will pick up tomorrow - and get with you (Higgy) about where the orange wire that I used to power the coils is coming from. I'm not sure if the volts should be coming from the regulator, through the ignition modules to the coils - because that is how things were when it wasn't starting i.e. no power to the orange coils wire. Anyways - took a spin round the block and parked 'er for the night. Thanks Higgy |

TNX ![]() The "extra" orange wire might be the one in the OEM wiring, while the upgrading has (maybe) a relay for every single coil. Be sure that +12v runs out from relais and follow the additional wiring to the coils: If the 12v comes out from the relais and does not arrive to the end of the line, teremust be something broken somewhere. Maybe a pair of additional fuses? |

You can find a copy of Jon's wiring mod here and a simple relay diagram is also here should give you all the details you require to sort it out ![]() keep in mind there are a few variations on how to do it ![]() |

one relay per coil wouldn`t make much sense if that is the case. G. |
