Had the belts done on the Paso today and a new clutch slave piston put in (yes G, the expensive German one
) by a very good Ducati workshop here in Canberra that delivers good work and doesn't charge you a fortune. They also checked out the front brake because, despite putting in new pads and bleeding until it bled no more, the brakes are still not fantastic. The mechanic advised me that in his opinion Brembo pads would get the best result on the cast iron disks. The current pads are Bendix MA6 ones which I put in two weeks ago. What is people's experience with different brake pads? Bevel Heaven have a set of 300mm disks with Brembo Gold calipers and a 996 master cylinder which not only looks the business but, I assume, would also improve the braking. I realise that the original F08 calipers will never compare to modern hardware, but I would like to get a brake lever that doesn't come back to the handle bars when you need to stop pretty urgently.
