Hi I have just bought me a set of 17" front and rear from a 600 SS on ebay, all thou with out the front rotors, which I will be looking out for, so I am a bit exited to getting started with the conversion  .My question is, does the rear rotor from the 16” wheel fit the 17” wheel? I don'think so. I haven't o.e.m. ducati rims, but i think that the fitting will require a machined spacer anyway

 hi,of course, i forgot to reply but i just measured the spacerring. first i've got to say that i've mounted the original brake disc from a paso 750 to a 750ss rear wheel (same as 600ss 17x4.5). the ring between those two parts is 13mm. wide. also check the rear bearring problem  my wheel had to be honed 1 mm around (2 mm. in diameter) to make the original paso rear axle fit. good luck! ab. |

Regarding the back wheel,. I am puzzled that know one has mentioned the bearin problem before , but this is just an issue which must be delt with. Did you make a new inner spacer for the back wheel or could you reuse the one from the 16” wheel ( I mean the hollow shaft between the bearings). My new 17” front wheel has a 47 x 20 x?? bearing. but this can just be changed to a 47 x 17 x ?? bearing, so no problem. I am hoping to make list and also take pictures of the conversion on “how to do” or maybe “not to do”  and what needed.Regards Klaus. |

hi klaus, i think the inner spacer can be reused, but i do not know for sure( someone did it for me). about the bearrings, i have to measure it again. i only know that i've got to take 1mm around from the bearring hole to make the right bearring fit. good luck!ab. |
