Once I do the Mikuni Swap where can I find nipples (brass or nylon) that screw into the little ports on the Intake manifolds so that I can hook up whatever sync tool I end up building? Cheers! Gunther |

this should be, gunther... I put two petcocks under my weber, with a short pipeline connecting them, in order to be able to ride and soon fix the sync tool when I need ![]() |

Any decent hardware store or even Home Depot will carry them. Just take the plug with you so you can match the threads. |

Mainfolders producers love metric treads, such as M5 or M6 !!! ![]() |

"Decent" hardware store is a problem here in Mammoth. I tried the two we have locally and they looked at me like I have two heads. I will be heading to Reno in a week or two to do some X-Mass shopping and will swing by the home depot and see if they can set me up. |

I got my dear ol' Dad to turn up a couple of adapters out of brass for my Weber carb. They did the job a treat. I used them with a home-made mercury manometer to synch my carb. For more details, see page D4 of the Paso 750 Workshop Manual (available in PDF format on the forum if you don't already have one). Here's a drawing showing the dimensions. Perhaps you could get a friend or local workshop to turn them up for you, or something similar? Good luck, Dave. ![]() |

Thanks Dave, That's a great Idea and one I'll use If I can't locate another set. To the rest of you guys in the U.S. I went to Home Depot this weekend and they didn't have any nipples anywhere near that size. I'm going to bring the manifold down to our hardware store and take a measurment of thread size and see if I can order some from MC Carr online. |

Radduck, Another thought for you - have you bought a manometer or pressure gauge sych tool yet? I later bought a set of Morgan mercury-free Carbtune II and these came complete with 8-off pressure-tapping adapters included in the pack, 4x 5mm and 4x 6mm. If you haven't already bought a synch tool, this would save you having to buy the adapters separately. If you do still want to buy the adapters separately, they are available in kits from Carbtune, either 4-off or 8-off, in brass or nylon. and see Accessories. Cheers! Dave ![]() |
