Post subject: | Tire Prob`s? Here is my solution... |
Hello to everybody. Please, sorry for my bad english - but it`s the keyboard... ![]() I want to show you my solution for the tire problem. I drive a 750 Sport (1990) but the problem is the same as for the Paso. I called lot`s of Tire Manufacturers in Germany (Pirelli, Metzeler, Michelin, Bridgestone, Avon, Ducati-Germany) for tires in the original dimensions (front 130/60-16, back 160/60-16) but nobody may help me. The alternative dimensions (front 130/70-16, back 150/80-16) are too bad. It`s quite dangerous to drive with!!! So i buyed (Internet aftermarked) the 17" (inch ?! Zoll ... uknow what i mean... ![]() ![]() So, if you want to drive your bikecycle secure... do even so like me... I`m very proud of it because it`s the first time that i related such "customizing". "May the force be with you!" :screwy: CU, helge-seins before : after : |

I understand very well Your choise, but U have to understand, that here is also those guys, who want to KEEP Pasos with 16" wheels as long as possible without going to 17" conversion.... Wondering also, that You have rare Ducati and You wanted to change it to totally diffrent bike, as "original". As I told, i accept also Your choise, but i want to keep my 750 Paso AS LONG, AS POSSIBLE with 16" wheel, no matter, i have already all needeed things to 17" conversion, BUT ONLY FOR FUTURE, NOT YET!!!! As we have seen, Michelins makes those tire every 2. year..... ![]() Btw, my english is also very bad, but i dont care.... |

The conversion looks pretty good! I've got a rolling chassis (no engine) of a 1988 Paso 750 with a full set of bodywork, and I am thinking of building it up with 17" wheels, 320mm brakes, and the front forks from a '94 SS900......I just have to get my current '87 Paso back up and running. ![]() |

I was thinking to put 907 injected engine to 750 body/frame and i have already all needeed stuff for that(expect 750 frame with papers), but i started to think more: Much easier to buy "ready 907IE" from markets... Sometimes, its viser to "calm down and think more".... ![]() ![]() |

Hi Antti, i`m 182cm tall and 70kg is my weight. So the "Superbike Handlebar" feels very, very well. The steering of the bike is quite smooth and very easy to control. It`s even better than the original. ![]() |

Sorry for delay, I have rebuild my ST4S engine back to frame some days, so i have been very hurry.... Seems, that riding position looks totally different with those "new steering bars"... I think, all depends, how RIDER feel, no matter what other says... As You also know, we all get older and then need more higher driving position... I am 176 cm, so U are little longer, than me. I have also bar risers to my ST, but i feel anyway better with normal bars, so i havent added them to my ST... Anyway, nice to see those Your fotos..   |

Yes Antti, you`re right. That was the first reason for the "Superbike"-Handlebar. Antti, the colour of your bikes in your signature is red/gunmetal... please try to describe "gunmetal" ![]() Is it the "normal" red from Ducati ?! ![]() Der Helge |

no, that`s the dark grey on the lower part of the Paso`s fairing. Jaguar had a colour that was named gunmetal silver. |
