If that's the bike I think it is, it's currently owned by the guy who owns Terry's Transmission up on Taft Rd. I think he has a couple other older Ducs, as well.

That's some break-in procedure your friend has. hahaha

To be honest I don't recall (long time since I rode it) the Michelins being that bad. You just have to remember that they and the bike were designed a good few years ago. But they can still be used to hustle and keep newer bikes honest on the right road. Ibnvariable I would find I ran out of ground clearance before I ran out of grip (I don't hang off much so not much knee scraping)

As far as the brakes go - I always found the twin pistons on the 750 more than a match for the front tire or the centre of gravity of the bike (back wheel lifts easily) so I see no reason why they should be so bad for a 906. The cast iron rotors are a real advantage and with the right pads (I found Ferodo were best) were very good
A friend even rated them higher than his 748 (until we serviced his calipers ! :laugh: )
